The kids & I rode the bikes along the beach path this morning & had a nice breakfast at Luthu's - Indonesian for me (mie goreng) & pancakes for the kids.
After breakfast we did some shopping at Tootsie's. Kids picked out some RayBans for 20,000 each - much better quality than the ones we bought back in 2011, more variety & different sizes too. Would of loved a polarised pair, but they had none left. Also bought my daughter a pair of those baggy cotton long pants for 40,000 & lovely cotton kaftan/beach cover for 50,000 (found this too big for me, so will be a gift for my cousin)
I also bought my mum a 100% genuine fake Jimmy Choo bag for 140,000rp ... the second pic is more true to the colour

The bikes were due back at 10am so we stop by & check if we can re-hire them for another day, all is fine.
Made our way back to the hotel & met up with hubby who was back from his surf.
Next we headed down to Hardy's, while hubby went for a massage - kids had a fish spa while I had a look around.

Bought my daughter some swimwear for 129,000 & some Olay Regenerist day & night cream which was on special from the counter just before the entrance to the supermarket. The 50g night cream was 71,290 & the 50g SPF 15 day cream was 88,490.
Also bought some DVDs & some skull candy headphones for the kids for 99,000 fixed price (not sure if that's a good price or not?). Stocked up on more snacks & mixers for our duty free, then got a taxi back to the hotel.

Next few hours were spent relaxing by the pool. Couldn't be bothered going out to lunch, so we just ordered club sandwiches and ate while sitting on our sun lounges.
At 2.30pm our driver friend Wayan came to pick us up & take us to Komune Beach Club at Keramus. I asked Wayan how long it would take us from Sanur & he said about an hour. It took less than 30 mins. Walking through the grounds towards the beach club there are many lush plants, even tall sunflowers & also a veggie patch. The grounds are immaculate.
We walked over to the pool area & got the last day bed under a big umbrella overlooking the pool & ocean. No entry fee was charged to sit by the pool & you can hire towels for about 40,000. Kids had a ball in the pool while we relaxed with some drinks & listened to the cool chill out music. Bintangs were 35,000.
They provide coolers for the beer, which is nice... somehow they made their way back home with us!

Hubby was disappointed the conditions were not ideal for a surf, as it was quite windy. Later on into the evening they put floodlights on the ocean for night time surfing - the waves got better & a few locals went out, but by this time hubby had consumed a few too many Bintangs.
My husband went searching to see if there was a TV so he could watch the footy & met a group of guys that were staying at Komune with theirs wives & kids. What a coincidence they only live 10 mins away from us at home. One of the guys told him they were friends with the owner (who also lives near us) & they had all come to Komune to help celebrate his wife's 40th birthday.

The owner had organised Ash Grunwald to play for his wife's birthday & he was scheduled to play at 6pm. The big stage was set up & looked fantastic with the ocean as a back drop. A DJ was playing but unfortunately Ash still hadn't started playing by 8pm, the kids had fallen asleep & we'd had too many Bintangs and not much money so we left.
I keep waking up around 3am...have heard that its your liver trying to process all the poisons....I must be very poisonous because I couldn't get back to sleep for ages & when I wake, my mouth feels like the bottom of a bird cage...
Sunday 15 September 2013
Hubby gets up around 5.30 and heads off for a surf at Sanur Reef. After breakfast at the hotel, we ride the bikes back & rent them for another day. Around 10am I head off to meet up with some friends I met through a Facebook Group in Legian while Hubby looks after the kids for the day.
On the way I stop in at the Rip Curl outlet shop on Jl Bypass Ngurah Rai. Bought the kids some really good quality tees for 75,000 - a fraction of what we would pay back home. Also bought hubby some singlets & tees. Only managed to find one top for myself. Was hoping to find some shorts, there was heaps of stock but not in my size.
After Rip Curl I got a taxi to Legian & met up with the girls for lunch at Bella Vista Coffee & Juice Bar on Jl Padma Utara. Had a refreshing juice to ease my slight hang over & a nice chicken Caesar salad with mango. Stayed for a few hours & had many laughs with the girls, we all really enjoyed ourselves.
Saying our goodbyes I headed up the road & walked to Merry's Leather. I had brought a suede boot from home that needed repairs & was hoping to also have copied in another colour - was so disappointed to find them closed, so hopped in a taxi back to Sanur. It cost just under 100,000 for the fare.
Found Hubby & the kids sitting on the sun lounges facing the beach & chatted about our day. He'd taken the kids for a bike ride and they had lunch at Tities Warung. On the way back they stopped at a little place that did reflexology, so hubby relaxed with a treatment while the kids sat with their feet in the fish spa while looking at the ocean.
Kids were keen for a swim in the pool, so I gladly sat watching them on the sun lounges after my day out. Hubby went to have a massage at Koa Spa - I asked him to book me in for one later too, but they were booked out until 8pm. This little boutique spa is getting to be very popular. He wound up further down the road at Angel's Spa.
I went later on but had to wait for 20 mins to get an appointment, so rode the bike down towards Hardy's and found a Rip Curl store. Was happy to find the shorts I wanted from the outlet store in my size, but they were full price ... decided to buy them anyway. Back in time to Angel's Spa where I had a pedi with foot massage.

Pedi done, time to walk back & take a shower....then a few G&T's on our porch before we walked to Warung Little Bird for dinner.
On the way, we stopped by an authorized money changer. We had been going here a few days before Sienna notices their welcome sign...and says "Hey Mum, it's a man!"
I had thought a few times how strange this looked... all I saw was cans, the welcome sign & a wooden penis. It wasn't until Sienna mentioned it that I realised it was indeed a 'person'.
Warung Little Bird is getting quite popular & they don't take bookings...we were lucky enough to get the last table. Had some really good meals here, tasty & inexpensive in decent sized portions. Nasi goreng chicken, nasi goreng pork, fried chicken in Balinese spices, Babi Gula Bali (pork in Balinese spices with brown coconut sugar), 4 Bintangs, 2 aqua & also purchased 2 WLB beer coolers - all for 230,000

Walking back to our room after dinner last night we could hear some really good music coming from the beach, so off we went to search where it was coming from. It was quite loud & sounded like it was only next door. We found a great band in front of the Gazebo Hotel. Seems we had crashed a party...

Had a ball dancing in the sand. Hubby started up a conga line - kids were extremely embarrassed!
...It's 3am & my liver had woken me up yet again. I try for about an hour to get back to sleep then sneak off the bathroom (so I don't wake anyone) & use the iPad until 5.30 when I hear hubby's alarm go off to wake him for an early surf. Back to bed for me while I doze until the kids wake around 7am...
